What's new in NetMind
Every improvement, fix, and new feature — documented as we ship it.
Beta · Linux v2.1.3
- AI Chat understands speeds the way you write them — "2 Mbps", "300 KB/s", "1 MB/s" — and NetMind converts them itself, so the numbers are always right
- AI Chat understands "block him", "unblock her", "block the whole network" and "leave only my phone online", in English, French and Arabic
- When AI Chat isn't sure what you mean, it shows what it understood and asks "Shall I do it?" with Yes / No buttons — nothing changes until you say Yes
- Setup shows the speed above which Autopilot steps in, with separate download and upload limits; speeds you don't mention keep their previous value
- Autopilot no longer sets "limits" faster than your internet, and warns you once if a device you protected by IP is now a different device
- Fix: a new setup is saved only when you click Confirm & Start — Redo now really cancels it
- Fix: limits and blocks stopped working after a modem restart or a Wi-Fi drop; they now resume on their own
- Download the beta — not offered as an automatic update
Beta · Windows v2.1.3.1 · Linux v2.1.2
- Devices now show their real names instead of "Device-12" — read from your router's device list (Huawei ONT routers such as the HG8145V5, and TR-064 routers such as FRITZ!Box), from names devices announce when they join, and from their traffic
- Rename any device by double-clicking it in the app; your names always win and are remembered
- Device names never leave your network — the website only sees generic labels, and the router password is stored encrypted on your computer and only ever sent to your own router
- New "Skip AI features (Free plan)" option in the installer, which leaves out the local AI and saves several GB
- AI Chat shows "NetMind is thinking…" while it works on a reply
- Fix: Autopilot no longer limits devices you told it never to touch, and a reconfigured profile applies without restarting Autopilot
- Fix: device names and action buttons were cut off in the device list; Grafana kept showing a device's old name after a rename
- Download the beta — not offered as an automatic update
Windows v2.1.2
- The installer now reliably sets up the Npcap network driver — on some PCs it was skipped, so no devices appeared after installing
- The traffic-shaping driver now ships as officially signed files, so Kaspersky and other antivirus tools no longer flag it by mistake
- The app now starts correctly on non-English versions of Windows (for example French)
v2.1.1
- Paid controls now lock immediately if your cloud session can't be verified, and re-enable automatically when the connection returns — so plan limits stay accurate even if the computer loses its internet connection
- A temporary network drop now gives a 10-second grace period before controls lock, so brief blips don't interrupt your work; bandwidth limits already applied keep running
- Available on both Linux and Windows
Windows v2.1.1
- NetMind is now available for Windows 11 — same features as the Linux app, including AI Chat, Autopilot and remote control from the dashboard
- One-click installer that sets up Npcap, Docker Desktop and the local AI model for you
- Automatic updates delivered through the app, just like on Linux
Web dashboard
- Block, limit and unblock any device straight from the Devices page
- Analytics now keeps real bandwidth history — 7 days on Free, 30 days on Paid — with 1h to 30d views
- Alerts when a new device joins your network or the desktop app comes back online, plus webhooks for every event
- Weekly email summary for everyone and a daily report on the Paid plan
- Two-factor sign-in is now enforced at login, accounts lock after repeated failed attempts, and you get an email for sign-ins from new devices
- Dark mode across the whole dashboard, profile photos, and dates shown in your timezone
- Upgrading is now a simple request: pay 70 DT locally or $20 by PayPal and your plan is switched on — nothing renews automatically
- Deleting your account now erases all of your data immediately
v2.1.9
- Fixed initialization failing silently on some network configurations
- Fixed the AI policy generator always producing a generic default policy
- Your onboarding network description is now applied to AI decisions
- Fixed the app icon not appearing after installation
- AI agent answers are more accurate and follow your network rules more reliably
v2.1.8
- Fixed the app failing to start on some systems because of a missing component
- Fixed the network monitoring engine not starting after installation
- Fixed an installer crash on systems missing optional packages

- Secure confirmation page for email and password changes
